RAID CCR SPECIALTIES

RAID Rebreather Specialties are unit specific courses that are designed to function as a stand alone for those already qualified CCR divers wanting to explore and cross over to a different unit, as well as work flawlessly in conjunction with practical user level courses ranging from introduction to decompression level courses.

JJ: JJ-CCR

Prerequisites:
• To be a minimum of 18 years old.
• If crossing over onto another unit, be a RAID Level 3 CCR diver

RAID CCR ADVANCED35 (level 2)

This exciting development course is designed to train students in the safe use and technology of Rebreather diving with no decompression, to a maximum depth of 30 metres.


This level is aimed at relatively inexperienced divers who wish to start rebreather diving.


Confined water: minimum 1 hour
Open Water: minimum 5 hours underwater and 6 Dives


Prerequisites:
• To be a minimum of 18 years old.
• Have a minimum of 8 hours logged under water time
• Have a RAID an OpenWater20 or equivalent certification
• Have completed unit specific specialty before certification

RAID CCR DEEP/RESCUE (level 3)

This Core Level 3 rebreather rescue programme is an important and crucial step in expanding your knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level.

This unique course builds confidence and ability, providing the skills and knowledge to help you better understand how to respond safely and efficiently to surface and underwater emergencies to a maximum depth of 40 metres


This level is aimed at experienced Open Circuit divers, or Level 2 CCR divers who wish to enhance their general and rescue skill set on the Rebreather.

Confined water: minimum 3 hour
Open Water: minimum 3 hours underwater and 4 Dives

Prerequisites:
• To be a minimum of 18 years old.
• To be certified a RAID Level 2 diver OC/CCR or equivalent
• Minimum of 15 hours logged under open water on a rebreather or open circuit.
• Submit a current Rescue Breathing/CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificate (DAN/equivalent).


Duration:

RAID CCR DIVEMASTER (level 4)

The course is designed to train students in a leadership role with the correct attitude above others in the safe use and technology of Rebreather diving with no decompression, to a maximum depth of 40 metres.


Once Certified you may:

• Supervise recreational and training activities by organising and directing dives.
• Assist an instructor during in water training sessions for all courses or subject to the standards detailed in a Speciality programme.
• Guide dives for certified divers to a maximum depth of 40 metres
• Accompany students during Levels 2, 3 and Level 4 under the direct supervision of an instructor.
• Conduct Local Area Orientation dives for certified divers.
• Conduct a OC/CCR review refresher skills in confined water only.
• Conduct an Open Circuit or Rebreather try dive in confined water

Prerequisites:
• To be a minimum of 18 years old.
• To be a certified diver for at least 6 months.
• Have a minimum of 25 hours logged on a rebreather
• Have a RAID Level 3 and Rebreather Speciality
• Submit a current Rescue Breathing/CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificate. (DAN/equivalent)

RAID CCR INSTRUCTOR

The Instructor Development Course is designed to train qualified RAID Level 4 Divers or equivalent in the use of the RAID programme to teach the RAID Rebreather & Open Circuit programmes from Level 1 through to Level 4 diving with no decompression to a maximum depth of 40 metres

Prerequisites:

• To be a minimum of 18 years old.

• To be certified as a RAID Rebreather Divemaster or complete, to the satisfaction of the Instructor and for them to evaluate, the minimum in water skills of the RAID Rebreather Divemaster.

• To be a certified diver for at least 12 months and have a minimum of 100 logged underwater hours and/or 200 logged dives on a rebreather.

• To be a certified RAID Rebreather Specialty diver.

• Have RAID Nitrox and Deep certifications (of which at least 10 hours are between 20– 40m/66-130 feet) and/or equivalent from a recognised training agency.

• Have logged experience in Navigation and Night Diving

• Submit current Resuscitation, First Aid and Oxygen Provider certificates

RAID RB TEC 1

RAID RB DECO 40

This Speciality is designed to extend your knowledge and introduce the skills and decompression procedures required in the use of oxygen enriched gases for Sport Diving. It develops the sport diving skills and provides a greater understanding of the concept of limited decompression sport diving.


This programme qualifies you to a depth of 40m and complete dives with mandatory decompression stop requirements for up to maximum of 15 minutes.

Prerequisites:
• To be a minimum of 18 years old.
• To be a certified diver for at least 3 months.
• Certified RAID Rebreather Level 2 diver or equivalent
• Submit a current Rescue Breathing/CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificate (DAN/equivalent).
• Specific Rebreather Speciality or equivalent.
• 30 logged hours underwater using a rebreather within the last 18 months. logged at least 5 hours between 20 - 30 m

RAID RB DECO 50

This is an rebreather Extended Range entry into Trimix programme designed to extend your knowledge and introduce the skills and decompression procedures required in the use of mixed (Oxygen, Helium & Nitrogen) gases for Sport Diving to a maximum depth of 50m.


It develops the sport diving skills and provides a greater understanding of the concept of limited decompression sport diving with the use of Helium gas to reduce narcosis (18/27).

This programme qualifies you to a depth of 50 m/164 ft and complete dives with mandatory decompression stop requirements for up to maximum of 30 minutes.

Gasses:
• Stage cylinder Open Circuit oxygen enriched gas (EANx / Nitrox) mixes from 21% to a maximum of 50% oxygen content.
• Diluent gas must not have an oxygen content below 18%
• Maximum set point 1.3
• A maximum of 27% Helium content


Prerequisites:
• To be a minimum of 18 years old.
• To be a certified diver for at least 3 months.
• Certified RAID Rebreather 40m Level 3 diver or equivalent

• At least 5 hours between 27- 40 m
• Specific Rebreather Speciality for the unit you are diving
• Submit a current Rescue Breathing/CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificate (DAN/equivalent).
• 50 logged hours on the unit you are diving

RAID RB DECO 65

This rebreather Trimix programme is designed to extend your knowledge and develop the skills for decompression procedures required in the use of mixed (Oxygen, Helium & Nitrogen) gases for Sport Diving to a maximum depth of 65m / 213ft.

Prerequisites:
• To be a minimum of 18 years old.
• To be a certified diver for at least 8 months.
• Certified RB Deco 50m/164ft Speciality diver or equivalent
• At least 5 hours between 35 - 50 m decompression dives.
• Submit a current Rescue Breathing/CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificate (DAN/equivalent).
• 75 logged hours underwater using a rebreather.
•Proficiency with the use of manual inflation addition (MI) gasses (in to the breathing loop) with a minimum of 10 hours logged underwater and minimum of 10 ascents from a minimum depth of 40m / 132ft, including decompression stops whilst using MI to maintain a safe breathable gas.

• Certified RAID Rebreather Deco 50 diver or equivalent of which at least 25 hours are between 35 - 50m
• Certified RAID Rebreather & unit specific instructor

• Current Rescue / First Aid Training and Oxygen Provider Instructor certificate/s (DAN/equivalent).
• 125 logged hours using a rebreather of which 50  must be on the specific rebreather used during this course.

RAID RB DECO 65 INSTRUCTOR

Prerequisites:
•To be a minimum of 18 years old.
• To be certified diver for at least 20 months.
• Certified RAID Rebreather Deco 65m  diver or equivalent certification/s.
• Certified RAID Rebreather Instructor and RAID Rebreather Deco 50m Instructor or equivalent & Unit Speciality Instructor.
• Proof of certifying at least 5 Deco 50 rebreather divers.
• Current Rescue / First Aid Training and Oxygen Provider Instructor certificate/s (DAN/equivalent).
• 150 logged hours using a rebreather of which 75 must be on the specific rebreather used during this course.
• 10 logged hours are between 40m and 65m  deco dives
